Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Do I have to leave

My wife and I were married two years ago. After the marriage I moved into her home in the state of Maryland, witch is in her name. She is now telling me that I have to leave. I have gotten rid of all my furnishings that I had in my home prior to our marriage. I am not financially ready to leave at this time. Do I have to leave?

Since your name was never put on the deed she has a right to control the property. However, you may have a marital property interest in it if she is paying a mortgage from earned income, which is marital property. Your marital interest in the property probably isn't great since it's only been 2 years, but it's something to negotiate with her in terms of giving you time to relocate.
