Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Getting legal help

we have court in a week and couldnt reach mediation. If my ex shows up in court with a lawyer (we are both pro se now) can I request a continuance to obtain legal help?

You can certainly request a continuance, but don't count on having one granted without a very compelling reason. You should be fully prepared to go forward on the date of trial.
