Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Legal help needed

My Uncle has a problem. He has 2 kids with his girlfriend. He wants to leave her to come live with us. The mother of his kids is an unfit mother. She yells at the kids and never actually cares for them. She doesn't feed them often. They are living with her family at the moment and her family doesn't help with the kids either. Their bathtub is a big Tupperware bucket and my cousins never seem to get fed. She neglects my two cousins. How does he get FULL custody of his 2 kids? He is their biological father and his name is on the birth certificate and they have his last name. Please help me out. All i want is for my uncle to be happy!!!

He also has DNA papers that prove he is the father.

He also has us here in Florida (his family) that will help take care of him and his kids! Will there be a problem bringing the kids across state lines from Maryland to Florida?

Re: Legal help needed

He needs to contact a custody attorney. It is a matter of the best interest of the children and it certainly sounds like he is best suited to have custody. Then he will be happy. He should NOT take them out of the state until the custody case results in a court order giving him custody.

Have him get pictures and document her unfitness as best he can.

He may contact me if he so chooses, as I handle these types of cases with great results, if the facts allow.
