Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

legal question

Hi

me and my wife are separated more than a year.. baised on our culture she was so attatched to her parents .. we lived with them in their house. Her parents got involoved a lot of things. Me and my wife got disagreement in manythings.. I tried during the separation time to convince her to live just by ourself and be a family but she dosent want anymore.

she prepare an agreement Divorce through her attorney.

we have a Son 4 years old, she said I will take care of his costody.. and you can see him anytime.

I asked her if I can take my son on the weekend to spend time together or overnight she said not now maybe in the future.

My question: if I sign the agreement divorce. Do I have the right to take my Son to spend time together or overnight.. later or no?

should we add that point in the agreement divorce paper that I have the right to take him on the weekend or atomaticly I have that right?

thank you very Much

Re: legal question

No, if you sign the agreement and it contains language restricting your visitation to non-overnights, you would not automatically have that right. Visitation should be clearly spelled out in the agreement. I would strongly recommend that you have an attorney review the proposed agreement prior to signing anything.
