Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland
legal seperation
Can I obtain a legal seperation if my husband is living in a camper outside my home as me and my children live inside. He will be using the facilities?

To be seperated for purposes of a divorce, you must live in separate places, with the intent of ending the marriage. The best way to handle this is to prepare a voluntary separation agreement. You should contact a divorce lawyer, like myself, to prepare this document.
Re: legal seperation
Although I have not had the "camper" situation come up before, if you are not sleeping under the same roof (and are not having sex), then his use of the "facilities" would not interfere with the separation grounds. Do you expect him to contest the grounds? The main issue would be what address he would use as his legal address? If you both want a divorce, he should obtain a PO Box for his mail and that can be used, or else he could be served at work. If we can help, please contact us. Law Office of Adele L.
