Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

I live in Maryland, my daughter is 5 months old and her father and I arent together anymore. I would like to move my daughter and I to Arizona. There is no court order, and my ex-boyfriend (babys father) wants half custody/visitation rights. Am I allowed to move to Arizona with my child before consulting her dad or any court?

If the father has not filed any documents yet with the Court, you are free to move. Once the documents are filed, however, things change. Consult a Maryland family attorney.
