if a man gives you an engagement ring for Christmas, then moves in with the woman.......then within that year she ends the relationship because of alot of reasons.....and the relationship has left her in a lot of debt....is she to return that ring?

Depends. Did he give her the ring for Christmas, or did he give her the ring for engagement/marriage purposes? A court will look at the ring as a "conditional gift." In other words, you keeping the gift is conditioned upon a certain event, in this case marriage. Since the marriage didn't happen, the gift must go back. The fact that she broke off the relationship makes it an even stronger case for him.
By continuing to hold onto the ring, you continue to hold on to him in your life. Make a choice to move on without him, or his money.
