Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

I've been married now for nearly 8 months, is it possible to get an annulment? What are the ways to have an absolute divorce in Maryland?

I have kids (twins) by another woman prior to my marriage now, i pay child support too but i dont think i have joint custody though. What are the steps to be able to have joint custody? I dont get to see my kids either, i believe shes only out for the money and the extra housing benefits. How can i be able to have housing too?

Annulment is available in Maryland, and in some cases it can be obtained under the name of a divorce. Along with obtaining an annulment for bigamy and for lack of consensual age, a marriage may be declared void if the parties did not really intend to marry or if they were incapacitated, as in insanity, intoxication, fraud, and duress. Although annulments may be granted, the preference of the court is not to annul, but for the parties to divorce. Also, any marriage that is expressly prohibited by statute is void by annulment.

Best of luck.*****The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.******
