Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

In MD when dealing with a custody case, can the plaintiff change the venue because the child no longer resides in that County, even though the original complaint for custody was filed by Plaintiff, with a counter suit filed by Defendant?

In such cases venue is proper in the county where either parent or the child resides. Since the plaintiff originally chose the county, it's unlikely that the court would agree to that without the consent of the defendant.
