Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

What is MD stand on community property in divorce.

I have been told several times, to leave by my hubsband. He threw my clothing out and I finally said enough is enough and left. He is abusive, cold, nasty.

It was a very bad enviroment to raise children in. So I took our new born

baby with me . We are married for 1 yr 3 mon. He have 3 kids from previous marriage. During the marriage we accumulated living room set, floor carpet and motoycle. He already owned house, and I brought my furniture. My question is what can I legally removed, during a seperation period. How do I get full custody of baby. And his 15 yr. old son wants to live with me. Please help and direct me where to go. Thank you

Your case is not at all simple. You really do need

to talk to a lawyer before you do much more. The

child custody issue should be settled as soon as

possible, preferably with a consent order. If that's

not possible then you need to petition for custody.

In addition you should also look at the possibility of

getting use and possession of the house pending the

divorce. It sounds to me from your description that

you might have a strong case for constructive desertion.

You should call me or some other attorney and arrange

to have an initial discussion. This is not so simple

that you want to try to handle it without counsel.
