Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

I am a minor looking to be emancipated from my mother but not my father. Changing custody seems to be impossible and I am looking into other venues. Is this possible?

A minor can file a petition for emancipation; you should be at least 16. If you're not able to support yourself or come up with another plan where you would be supported, you're unlikely to be successful. At 16 a court would probably give your father custody if that is your wish and he is willing to accept it.
