Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Modification of Child Support

I am in the Navy. Each time they set up an appointment I was underway. Now they dismissed my case. I am stationed in Norfolk Virginia and the Court is in Maryland. I leave first part of September. Is there a way I could get an attorney to stand in for me for the case or is there nothing I can do?

The problem is you will probably need to be available to testify as to the grounds for modification. You may have to wait until you get leave and give your attorney enough lead time to get a hearing scheduled while you're available. You could check with your JAG to see if there is some procedure that allows you leave to attend a court hearing.
