Re: Moved without telling me

I assume you and the mother weren't married. Therefore, in order to get support, she would have had to file a paternity action, which seeks to have you declared to be the father of the child, and if so, to pay support. You would have had the opportunity to challenge whether the child was yours in the paternity action, but apparently you chose not to do so. If somehow you weren't served with the paternity court papers, you might have the right to challenge that finding by seeking to have the judgment set aside, but that might depend on how long you've known about this and done nothing. If you do want to challenge this and try to get the support cut off, you will need to hire an experienced family law attorney who will be better able to evaluate the situation and assist you if possible.
