Moving with Child During Divorce

I am in the process of a divorce. There is one child involved, that I have been the cusodial parent of for the last 7 years. Am I breaking any laws by moving to another state with my child during the divorce process?

Re: Moving with Child During Divorce

No. But if either by agreement or court order, you have been restricted from keeping the child more than a certain geographic distance from the other parent, you may be breaking the agreement or violating the order. If the other parent is exercising visitation rights, you may be interfering with those rights by your move.
