I was not notified of my daughters custody hearing date is that allowed ?
or how should i have been notified

Yes, you certainly should have been notified. The clerk sends out notices to all parties routinely to whatever address they have on record, or to their attorney if you have one who has entered an appearance. Check with the clerk's office to make sure they have your address correct in the record.
