Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Order to Parent to have child at scheduled hearing

Son has 5yr old whom he hasn't seen for 3 years. Ex is in contempt (4th charge)for failure to provide visitation and she's moved out of state (without telling him or Courts, or CSE). He has filed several petitions for contempt and/or modification of custody which have been heard, but she still does not comply. A new Petition is to be heard in March. He now has to have her served w/summons. However, during the scheduling conference, he didn't know to ask that the ex be ordered to bring the child with her for the hearing. Is there some proper form/paper he needs to have, or does he just go back to the same judge with a petition to compel the Exwife to bring the child with her so that he and the court can see if the child is okay, and he can have a brief visit(if not a change in custody) with her then?

He should file a supplementary petition requesting the court to order the ex to produce the child for the hearing. If the ex complies, there's not reason why he shouldn't be able to see the child at that time.
