ownership

i am separated. name is still on cars and house. can i take/drive the car in the garage, and ''make it disappear'', and can i change the locks on the house, in an attempt to get his attention, and jump start our separation and divorce conversations?

Re: ownership

You can take possession of the car but it remains marital property, subject to distribution in a divorce proceeding. As for the house, I assume you are the one living there post-separation. Again, it remains marital property and unless you are granted exclusive possession during the divorce proceeding on the basis of being the custodial parent of your children, he retains the right to enter the property.
