Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

What if i'm using part of my 401k I already had before getting married as a down payment. since we are seperated, does that count as marital funds or does that count as being exempt so she cannot lay claim to property

If you can trace funds being used to before the marriage, they're not marital and she can't make a claim to it.
