Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

If two people sign and notorize seperation papers and there are never filed (with the other person not knowing) are they (papers) still binding?

It depends. Are you divorced? Was the separation agreement incorporated into the terms of the final divorce decree? A separation agreement does not need to be filed with the Court to be enforceable -- a separation agreement is simply a contract between the parties.
