Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Property of Deceased Mother

My mother passed away recently. She had a car which my sister wants to keep. My sister said she will give my brother and I each 1/3 of the value of the car because there are 3 of us. I say since she is keeping the car, my brother and I should each receive 1/2 the value of the car. Who is correct, please?
