Property that is inherited

Is inherited property/money consider community property if you are married ?

Maryland is not a community property state. Inherited property is a non-marital asset unless it becomes re-characterized by commingling it with marital assets. The burden would be on the one claiming property, or a portion thereof, as non-marital to trace its origin back to some non-marital property. Depending on the circumstances, this may or may not be possible.
