Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Question of Alimony lasts how long.

In a divorce decree it was ordered that the question of alimony be reserved for further determination by the court. The divorce was final in 1976. My wife has had two children and possibly has been married again. How long is the question of alimony in effect and does she have any rights to my retirement funds if this was not a question during the divorce nor did I have any funds at that time.

Thank you.

Re: Question of Alimony lasts how long.

Your ex-wife has lost any claim for alimony after all this time and isn't entitled to share in property that didn't exist at the time the marriage ended.
