I recently found out that I fartherd a child 15 years ago. The parternity test proves that I am the father.
Now there's a court date for child support. Am I responsible for child support for the past 15 years or just for the next 3 years?
Should I get legal representation?

You can only be made to pay support from the date that the paternity action was filed. The child will be eligible for your support until he/she turns 18 or graduates from high school, whichever comes later, but not beyond age 19. The amount of support you will be required to pay is largely determined by your before tax income and that of the mother, according to guidelines establish in the law. It would be a good idea to consult with an experienced family attorney who can assist you in calculating the correct amount of support.
Child support will be due from the date that a complaint for such is filed. Child support is not retroactive.
