Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Reconsideration question again

If I file a reconsideration of child support, and they call a hearing, are we just going to discuss the child support, specifically with regards to only back child support, or is the judge going to allow the reconsideration of other things, such as custody. I just want the child support adjusted to include back child support. I really dont want another hearing at all.

Re: Reconsideration question again

Unless your ex similarly asks for a reconsideration of the custody issue, the only thing that would be reviewed is the issues you specifically raise--namely, the start date for child support.

Re: Reconsideration question again

Back support will only be granted to the date of filing, that is it will not be granted for time before the complaint is made in court.

When you raise/make a complaint in court the other party may enlarge the action to include other causes of action, which may include custody or any other matter common to the two parties.
