Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Restraining order

Inspite of repeated requests to not come over to our house, my sister-in-law keeps coming over. Can I get a restraining order and do I need to submit any thing or justification. Thanks....Vik

Re: Restraining order

You would need to have some kind of reason for taking such a step with your sister-in-law. If she is coming to see your husband, who is assume is her brother, and if he wants her to visit, you would need a major reason. If she comes to your home to smash things and terrorize the family you probably could get some relief through the court, but without such a cause it seems that a restraining order to keep out an in-law is pretty extreme.
