rights of baby

there is some differences with my hubby n v r indian n my baby is american ....my hubby wants to divorce me..but i don't want....wat do i do?'coz i'm on h4 dependent visa..n he is on h1...wat do i do...can he seperate my baby from me..'coz my baby is american n he can't stay more than 6 months in india..my hubby is scarying me..wat is solution...n if divorce happens wat will happen to me n my baby?

Under Maryland law, if the parents are fighting over who should have custody of the child, the court will conduct an investigation and award custody to the parent who can best serve the interests of the child. The other parent will have to pay support for the child to the custodial parent. If you are concerned about your husband leaving suddenly for India and taking the child, you should go to court now and seek a custody order. As for divorce, you would have to be separated for at least 1 year and probably 2 for him to be able to get a divorce here, but if he goes back to India, the laws are probably different there.
