Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

School Status for child support payment

Would you define for me the requirement for child support and a child being being school? What are the school requirements if any for the State of Maryland with regards to the child being in school after the age of 16 and still be eligible to receive child support?

Re: School Status for child support payment

An unmarried child living with you is entitled to child support from his/her other parent until he/she turns 18. School status is irrelevant, although if he/she is full-time employed and thereby self-sufficient, the court can take this into account in detemining a proper amount of support if any.
