Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland
Separation Agreements
A separation aggrement was written and signed by both parties, it was for a time period of one year which ran out nine months ago. Are we still legally bound by that agreement or are we now once again leaglly married?

Re: Separation Agreements
You remain married. The separation agreement did not change this legal status. Your attorney should have explained this to you as it is important to many matters not to mention you being in a position to commit adultery without even being aware of it. If you prepared the separation agreement yourself then obviously this last statement does not apply and, if so, then you may want to have the divorce filed by an attorney since matters may have been overlooked in the separation agreement. Contact an attorney should you need legal assistance. (410) 750-2567
