How long do i have to be seperated in the state of Maryland before I can file for Divorce?

To file for absolute divorce on grounds of voluntary separation, you must be separated without cohabitation or marital relations for one year.

If the separation is by mutual agreement and you can prove that in court, the period is one year. If one party just left without the other's consent, it's two years.
