In Maryland is there a law that prohibts a brother (5)and a sister (7) sharing a room?

There is no law that prohibits this but such may be relevant to a custody matter.

No, there is no such law. In a case where two separated parents are in a court contest for custody of children, however, one factor the judge might consider is the sleeping arrangement for children in each household. If one parent can provide separate rooms for the children and the other parent can't, that might influence the judge's decision (but there would generally be a lot of other considerations which might carry more weight).
