Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

hello, My situation is as following, my baby's mother is not trying to let me see my child and she wont file for child support. She has plan's to move to another state and wont tell me which state she will be in or her location meaning i can loose all contact with my child. I tried to see if i can file for child support (to start paying) and it seems like i have to be in her state in order to do it (i am living in Maryland, she lives in FL) what can i do in my situation?

thank you for your time

You can file for visitation in the child's home state, which is defined as the state in which the child has resided for the past 6 months. If you file now, have the mother served, and the mother subsequently leaves Florida, the case will still be heard in Florida.
