Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland
Spousal Responsilibity in Marriage
If I am not abusive in any physical or verbal way to my spouse. I am the sole breadwinner. Am I obligated to provide her with any set amount of monthly allowance? Can I be forced to give her more spending money than I see fit? All family assets are soley in my name.

There is no Maryland law mandating that one spouse provide to another any "set amount of monthly allowance," as you put it.

You are under no obligation to provide her with an allowance or spending money. To avoid any allegations of neglect, ensure that you are taking care of the basics around the home, i.e., light bill, phone bill, food, medical expenses, other maintenance. If she wants spending money, she has the option of working.
