Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

if i have my spouses checkbook can i legally sign her name to the checks? yes she gave me the book in the event of my need now she is not available to me .my name is not on the account it is a personal checking account.

If you are not a signatory to the account you cannot sign her name--that is considered to be forgery. If you are no longer together presumably she doesn't want you using her account. If she does want you to use it you should get her to add you to the account.
