Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

Hello, under state law please advise me who can file for Pendente Lite or Expidited Pendente Lite? Is it just for spouses or can it be for people who cohabitat as well (that are not married)?

Pendente lite generally refers to a family law case where one party is seeking custody, child support or alimony. PL is Latin for "during the litigation", and such a request is asking the court to award the final relief sought on a temporary basis while the case is going forward. So if you had unmarried parents who cohabit with their child(ren), and one is seeking sole custody and child support, he/she could make a PL request.
