Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

What Are The State Of Maryland Statues?

Hello,

My daughter's mother and I were never married, will I have to pay for my daughter's college expenses by the state of Maryland Statues? Will Child Support Stop at the Age of 18? or Will I have to take on the expenses of College and Child Support? She is making plans to attend College in Georgia

Under Maryland's law, child support ends for a child who is 18 when that child graduates from or is not longer enrolled in secondary school, or when the child turn 19, whichever occurs first. However, if you have an agreement with the child's mother that you will contribute to college expenses, that agreement may be legally enforceable.
