Re: Surname change for ex-spouse after divorce
You can not require a former spouse to relinquish your surname, either at the time of divorce or some years later. The decision to keep, or change, the surname is up to the former spouse, and a request to resume a maiden name is usually made at the time of the divorce. When the request is made, it is always granted.
