Surname change for ex-spouse after divorce

Is it possible to have my surname taken back from

a former spouse after six years of being divorce?

You can not require a former spouse to relinquish your surname, either at the time of divorce or some years later. The decision to keep, or change, the surname is up to the former spouse, and a request to resume a maiden name is usually made at the time of the divorce. When the request is made, it is always granted.
