Is a threat stating "your days are numbered" on myspace directly referencing an individual that has a protective order against them considered a violation of protective order?

It's hard to say given the limited facts you present and the lack of context, but it's probably too vague. To give you best advice, an attorney would have to review the protective order's language to see what specific prohibitions it contained. If the respondent has been ordered not to initiate communication with the petitioner, this may constitute a violation of that aspect of the order, although this may be unexplored territory in the new world of social networking.
