Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland
visitation
I have a concern regarding visitation. The NCP(non custodial) will not call me regarding when they are coming to visit. They rely on their father to call and try and discuss things with me but all he ends up doing is arguing and everything else. in the court order it doesn't say i have to deal with their father. Can I advise the father that it is none of his business and make NCP do the contacting theirselves? NCP wants father to come and pick up for visits but NCP will not be home or in town until Sat. Do i have to give over to father to go out of state until she comes back in town or can I have her come and get him when she comes into town? Child hasn't seen gdad in over 9 months? Please help

Re: visitation
It sounds like the paternal grandparents are the ones exercising the father's visitation rights. If you object to this, you should inform them (preferably in writing) that the court order does not entitle them to visitation and in the future you will only provide the child to the father, in compliance with the visitation schedule established by the order. If the father wants to try and modify the order, he can petition the court.
