Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland
My wife and I took a break. While on this break I found out that she had not been paying the bills. I may lose my house and almost lost my vehicle. She also accidentally called me one morning and I had the pleasure of listening to her having a good time with another man. Now I'm stuck with all of the bills and am not sure if I will have a place to live. What tights Di I have? Can I file for divorce on grounds of adultery? She doesn't contest as to what I heard. I do not know any of his information. I live in Maryland, Harford county, she is living in Anne Arundel county Maryland. Thank you and have a great day.

If she admitted in the phone conversation to a sexual relationship with the other man, as opposed to just flirting or "sex talk", you would have grounds to sue for divorce on adultery grounds. You should retain a family law attorney and attempt to negotiate a separation agreement with her that would resolve issues as to the distribution of marital assets, especially the house, as well as any retirement assets either of you may have. You also didn't mention if there were any children involved; if so, you definitely need to try and resolve these issues before filing for divorce.
