After 2 years of separation, you can file for a divorce on that basis. In your complaint, you would ask the court to award you alimony, and to divide up the marital property. You can also ask the court to require your husband to pay your legal fees. You can go to your county bar association and see if you are eligible for a pro bono (volunteer) attorney or a reduced fee attorney on the basis of your income level.
