Change of names on deed
I recently divorced from my wife and would like for the deed to only be in my name. What form do I need?

Re: Change of names on deed
Unless your ex is willing to convey her continuing interest in the property to you, this is beyond your control. When spouses owning property together divorce, they continue to own it as tenants in common. You could buy her out if she's willing to sell, in which case you would be well advised to have an experienced real estate attorney draw up a new deed and the other papers necessary to properly record the deed in your county land records.

You need the order of absolute divorce conveying a full interest in the real property. Then a proper deed and recordation is required. I can assist you with these matters for a reasonable fee. 410.750.2567
