Take to court

If someone is ringing my doorbell, can I take them to court? If so, on what grounds/charges?

You can bring an action for nuisance against them. If this is someone you know who is doing this to harass you, and you know where they live, have you tried notifying the police and asking them to contact the person? Going to court is not a practical solution.
