Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland
Dental service issue
The dentist sent me email informing me that she no longer wishes to provide dental care to me and my husband because she said she feels that we lack a mutual trust and confidence in one another and that we seek dental care elsewhere. I saw her two times- the first time she put a filling and the second time, she was supposed to put fillings but she didn't because she had an emergency with the patient. I was in the dentist chair for nearly one hour waiting and of course, I was upset and cancelled the appt. but I called to reschedule. Then, she said in her email that she decided to cancel the rescheduled appt. for me and the appt. for my husband. My husband never met her. We'd be glad to seek new dentists but we want to know if she has a right to deny services to us due to her personal reason? Would appreciate your legal advice. We may consider taking a legal action against her. It depends on your answer. Thanks.

Re: Dental service issue
She has a right to do this, just as you have a right to go to another dentist if you lack confidence in her.
