Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

Destruction of property

My ex-boyfriend saw me damage his vehicle door ($600), but did'nt have me arrested, has no eye-witnesses besides himself, and hasn't sent me a bill or estimate.

What would your recommended defense be to this case , and , is a destruction of property case easy to defend without any eyewitnesses?

According to your question, there is an eyewitness-your ex. If you were to be charged under the criminal statute, your only defense might be that what you did was unintentional, if in fact it was. If you are going to deny you did it, then a judge would have to decide who to believe.
