Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland
Fence regulations
When we moved into our house a few years back,(aberdeen)our neighbors had already built a fence. A cite surveyor came out and told us the fence was built directly on the property line.We had latice put around our side of the fence when we moved in to keep the dogs from getting out (with neighbors permission). After time the latice got worn so we tried to put new latice up. The neighbor got irrate and didn't allow us.Are we allowed to put it up anyways since it's only on our side of the fence? Also, is there anyway I could get a hold of the permit she used to build the fence?

Your question is better posted in the Real Estate section of Lawguru.com .
The latic fence is a matter of local zoning as is your neighobor's--presumming that zoning applies.
Where zoning does not apply then a typical and ordinary standard applies. Covenants may be bound to the land depending on the county in Maryland.
From the appearance of the question it seems you may have a right to maintain or re-build the lattic.
The fence that your neighbor errected may or may not be reflected on the land records.
