Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

I am asking for a friend. He recently got a divorce in august. His ex has a car that has not finance..they brought the car years ago and his name is on the title..He wants his name off the title but hisex-wife is refusing to take it off becuase she is not working and having some car issues and far as an insurance lapse. What can he do? He wants no ties to her and she is being really petty behind this situation

Your friend should have made an effort to resolve this and any other property issues as part of the divorce case. If he has the title he can simply sign it over to her and give her the endorsed title. If he doesn't have it, he should be able to get a replacement title from MVA and do the same. He should check with MVA to see what information they need to issue a replacement title.
