if ihave an unemployment claim in civil court and i win can i sue my previous employer for slander if it is found that some of the things they said was not true

Generally there is a protection for statements made in litigation. This means that a party cannot usually sue for statements made in a lawsuit. That being said, if the opposing party lied under oath that amounts to perjury and they can be charged with perjury.
