Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

Items of mine stolen from someone elses home.

I was a long term guest in someones home, and as a result I had items stolen from me, what can i do? Or what should i do? the lease holders on the apartment did not have renters insurance so my stuff will not be covered even though it was a condition stated in there lease. I have reason to believe that one of the lease holders or their guests may have taken the items. What would be the best course of action?

If you have enough evidence you can press criminal charges by going to the police or by filing an affidavit with a District Court commissioner. From a civil standpoint, you could sue whoever has your property to get it back, but I suspect it will be quite hard for you to prove who did it. The fact that the tenant didn't have insurance won't help you.
