Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

Property theft on Private Property under Surveillance

I work for a company that offers 24hr video surveillance on the property and also security guards that are to walk around and drive around the property. During the day, my car was broken into and personal items were stolen from within. Another employees car was broken into and also broken into the same way. When watching the video there is a glitch on the film for a few minutes, basically covering enough time to break into my car. When security was asked about the blank spots on the tape, they could not explain. I feel that the theft was an inside job and therefore that would explain that out of the many cars in the lot, only employee cars were broken into. Should the owner of the property be liable for my losses, because their security was absent or not doing their job?

You will need to show that the company supervisors were derelict in running the security system. You will also need to show that the break in would have been prevented had the security system been working properly. It probably won't be enough to show that there was a "glitch" in the video.
