Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

How do you prove slander?

I have a person going around telling people that his ex-wife and I took some checks from him and that I am writing them and taking his money and sending it to her..This is not true and I would never do that also I know that it is illegal and if he had proof he would have pressed charges he is just trying to make me look bad and besides that he has been harrasing me since she left him because he said I made her which i did not..Is there anything I can do to make him stop spreading these lies about me and make him leave me alone??

Desperate for help........

Re: How do you prove slander?
